HCA nurses rock – literally! Our compassionate caregivers kicked off National Nurses Week on Monday with a flash mob performance for a pediatric heart patient’s Make-A-Wish ® reveal at HCA-affiliate Medical City Children’s Hospital in Texas. The Dallas-based children’s hospital partnered with Make-A-Wish North Texas to surprise 13-year old Ashley, diagnosed with a birth defect that affects normal blood flow through the heart, with her dream vacation – a Disney Cruise. It’s springtime in Augusta, Ga. and that means it’s time for one of golf’s most famous tournaments – The Masters. Doctors Hospital (located in Augusta) is using The Masters to entertain and help patients recover. They’ve rolled out the putting green and set up Nintendo’s Wii golf game so patients can get up and play if inspired.
